Overview
Queen Elizabeth National Park is well known as the second largest protected area in Uganda after Murchison Falls National Park. Therefore, planning to have a Safari to Queen Elizabeth will be a great choice reason being numerous wildlife are to be spotted such as African Elephants, warthogs, Giraffes, Buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, the rare tree-climbing lions, beautiful bird species and many others. You will be involved in some of the interesting activities like game drives, nature walks and boat rides that will create memorable moments in your lifetime of experience.
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park optional activity
You will be picked up by your Safari guide from the agreed location and brief you about the Safari then drive heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover in Fort Portal the tourism city for a commercial break as you enjoy your lunch too. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth later and check in with the booked lodge. Depending on the arrival time, you can opt to have any simple evening activity or relax.
Day 2: Full-day game drive
Arise as early morning as possible and move for a drive to catch up with the predators mostly the cats when they are still on the hunt targeting those that wake up before much sun to feed and go back to hide. Such cats can include civets, leopards, cheetahs and many others. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast and resume later to spot other wildlife including African elephants, warthogs, Buffalo, Giraffes and others.
You will have your picnic lunch then drive to the Ishasha sector for other amazing creatures the rare tree-climbing lions as you watch them resting up in trees, others feeding after their hunt and much more. Drive back to the hotel as you gain a chance to record the small number of wildlife you might have missed in the morning session.
Day 3: A boat ride and transfer back to Kampala
On day 3 you will have your last activity before departing therefore, you will wake up early morning and have your breakfast then later drive to Kazinga Channel for the amazing boat ride. Numerous water species will be spotted for example schools of hippos, crocodiles, beautiful bird species, reptiles, the type of fish caught from this fresh water and many more. Enjoy your lunch from the nearby hotel and come back on your way to Kampala. Your Safari driver guide will drop you at a hotel for dinner and wish you a great flight back home.
